Number Sixteen is part of Firmdale’s collection of Townhouse Hotels and this charming property, in South Kensington, is one of the “best-kept secrets” in London. The hotel has all the Firmdale touches, with Kit Kemp’s fabulous fresh contemporary English style in the public rooms and in the bedrooms. What is unique about Number Sixteen is the peaceful English garden that runs along the back of the hotel. During summer, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served outside, and this is also a quiet and tranquil place to have a long, cool, refreshing drink after shopping and sightseeing. The hotel is located a stone’s throw from South Kensington and the busy boutiques and shops of Walton Street and Brompton Cross. Harrods is a ten-minute walk. This is a perfect hotel for those who want to experience a village neighborhood in London and feel like a local resident.
