Husband and wife team Guy Rubin and Nancy Kim started Imperial Tours in 1999. They have made China their home for 25 years. Born in Israel, Guy was raised and educated in Britain, attending Cambridge University and traveling widely. Nancy was born in South Korea and raised in Beverly Hills and Switzerland, and attended the University of Pennsylvania. They met in 1997 in Beijing while studying Mandarin, which they both speak fluently. They immediately saw the potential for luxury travel in China. Their philosophy is to offer the very best and to welcome clients as guests to a country they love. Their guides and drivers are hand-picked. A Western bilingual “China Host” can accompany guests throughout their trip if desired and guides and drivers are provided in all locations. Superb luxury hotels are used throughout, and Nancy brings her fascination with food to her choices of excellent restaurants. | Imperial Tours offers TWO price levels for FIT touring in China. All tours are bespoke and tailor-made. |
| 1 – Ultimate China includes the services of a Western bilingual ‘China Host’ who travels with clients throughout their tour of China. Luxury hotels, breakfasts, lunches and most dinners are included. This option includes unlimited use of cars and drivers. All guide and driver gratuities are included. |
| 2 – China Escapades includes luxury hotels, breakfasts and lunches. The services of local English-speaking guides are included; gratuities are not included. Cars and drivers are available until 10 pm. China Escapades does not include a “China Host” and as a result, it is a less expensive alternative. A 24-hour “virtual” concierge is available for help and suggestions. |

| Nothing can prepare you for the site that awaits you at the Great Wall of China. The section that Imperial Tours most highly recommends is further away, about a 2-hour drive, and is generally considered one of the most beautiful sections of the Great Wall. Once there, you will be treated to a private banquet on the Wall itself (weather permitting). After lunch you will be given some time for a stroll along this most magnificent of sites. |

Many of you may have heard of the incredible acoustic properties of this 600-year-old UNESCO monument at Echo Wall, with its triple-sound stone of the circular mound.
